What we leave out
- Contact names, phone numbers and emails from tenders and plans. Follow the link to the notice.
- Tender documents, addenda and questions and answers.
- People’s names, personal emails, mobiles and direct lines from Directory.gov.au.
- Anything behind a supplier or buyer login.
Information about public officials sets out what we show about people, and why.
States and territories
State and territory data comes from each government’s own tender portal and open-data site. Open-data sets carry their publisher’s licence, shown on each record. Where a portal’s terms need it, we hold the publisher’s written permission. Refreshed daily or weekly, by source.

How totals are counted
- Contract value is the value on the AusTender notice. An amendment replaces it. Each contract counts once, at its latest value. Cancelled notices are left out.
- Spend by portfolio adds up the contracts of every agency in that portfolio on Finance’s current list. A contract under a former agency’s name counts under the agency that took over its work, using the Administrative Arrangements Orders.
- Standing offers are counted, not added. Their value is a ceiling, and the contracts drawn from them are already counted.
- Headcount is the APSC’s figure for the snapshot date, not a budget staffing figure.
- A name we cannot match to an agency stays unmatched. We never guess.
- Values are in Australian dollars, as published.
