Downloads and limits
How many rows and files you can download, and the reading limits.
Downloads and limits
Government records stay in BidNomy. There is no spreadsheet download of tenders, contracts,
panels, grants, suppliers, agencies, payments or report blocks on any plan: search, alerts, Analytics
and Bower work on the records where they are. A script that asks for one gets a 403 with
"error": "exports_off".
Your own documents are always yours. Bid documents and solutions download as Word or PDF, files you uploaded download as they were, and the Business development dashboard and your AI usage each export a CSV.
Lists themselves are limited too, to stop a script paging through the whole register: an
organisation may make 120 list or search requests a minute. Ordinary browsing stays well under it; a script that
does gets a 429 with Retry-After.
There is also a daily reading limit: the number of records the lists, search and the MCP record
tools may show one organisation in a day, shared by every member and API key — 50,000 on the two
entry plans and the trial, 200,000 on Team and 500,000 on Enterprise. Reading records a page at a time
never comes near it. Once it is reached, lists and search say so until the count starts again at
midnight Sydney time; a script gets a 429 with "error": "read_budget" and Retry-After, and an
AI client's record tools answer with the same sentence.
Each person may also open up to 600 record pages an hour. Reading normally never comes near
it; past it a record page says how many minutes to wait, while lists and search keep working. A
script gets a 429 with "error": "record_views" and Retry-After. Someone reading thousands of
records an hour may be checked by our team; nothing is blocked by that check.
The plan belongs to the organisation, so a change made for the team reaches everybody in it on their next page load rather than when their access token happens to refresh.
