Welcome

What the workspace holds, how it is laid out, and what to do on your first day.

The workspace holds the Australian public procurement record in one place: Commonwealth tenders, contracts, standing offers and grants from AusTender and GrantConnect, and the tenders, forward plans and awards the states and territories publish. Your team tracks its bids against those records here, and an AI research assistant answers questions over all of it, citing the records it used.

How the workspace is laid out

The sidebar, top to bottom:

  • Workspace — your home page.
  • Explore — where to start when you have no query yet, and Search, one query across every record type.
  • AI — ask questions of the whole record set, run research skills, and keep Saved prompts that re-run on a schedule.
  • Capture — your team's own work: Dashboard, Pipelines, Pursuits, Tasks and Saved searches.
  • Reports — Market, Winners and losers and Horizon.
  • Opportunities — everything not yet awarded: Open tenders, Planned, Panels and Grants.
  • Awards — what has already been bought: Contracts, Panels, Grants and ACT payments.
  • Participants — Agencies, Suppliers and Jurisdictions.
  • Files — documents you upload, which the AI can read.
  • Categories — the UNSPSC classification notices are published against.
  • Programs — budget programs from the Portfolio Budget Statements.
  • Insights — byAUTO's dashboards. It opens in a new tab and has its own sign-in.
  • Account — Team, Billing, API keys, Notifications and Custom fields.

A section with children stays folded until you are in it. Below 1024px wide the sidebar is a rail of icons, and the full list opens from the top bar. This guide is linked at the foot of the sidebar, beside your plan.

The top bar holds one record search (⌘K or Ctrl+K jumps to it), the System, Light and Dark switch, the notification bell and your account menu. The round AI button at the bottom right takes a question to the AI page. Open tenders, Planned, Panels and Contracts each hold every jurisdiction in one list, with a row of chips above it: Commonwealth is one chip, and each state or territory another.

Your first day

  1. Set a saved search with alerts. Open a list — Open tenders, say — and narrow it with the filters and the jurisdiction chips. Press Save, tick Email me when results change, and choose Daily or Weekly. The search is kept under Capture › Saved searches, and Explore shows its newest matches.
  2. Open a pursuit. On a record you want to chase, press Add to pipeline. That makes a pursuit linked to the record, in the first stage of your default pipeline, and opens it. If you have no pipeline yet, one is made for you.
  3. Ask the AI one question. Press the AI button, or open AI, and ask about a market you work in. Every answer links the records it was built from and says how many credits it used.

Plans and the trial

Every new organisation starts a 14-day trial of Growth at signup: five seats, every jurisdiction, and no card. When the trial ends the workspace is locked until somebody chooses a plan, and nothing is deleted. There are four plans, priced per year in Australian dollars plus GST: Launch (the Commonwealth, one seat), Launch Plus (adds the states and territories, one seat), Growth (five seats) and Scale (quoted, unlimited seats). Every plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. Pricing has what each plan includes, and Account how billing works.

Sections

  • Explore — What you and your team opened, what you already watch, what the Commonwealth record holds, and where to start when you have none of that.
  • AI — Chat over the whole record set, with every answer citing the notices it was built from.
  • Capture — Pipelines, pursuits, tasks, tags, custom fields and saved searches — the part of the product that is your team's work, not the public record.
  • Reports — Three standing questions about the market — the Commonwealth, a state or territory, or all of them — computed over the contract record.
  • Opportunities — Everything not yet awarded — open tenders, planned procurement, panels and grant rounds, from every jurisdiction.
  • Awards — Contracts, panel awards, grant awards and the ACT’s payments — who won what, for how much, and until when.
  • ACT payments — Invoices of A$25,000 or more paid by ACT Government entities — what the register is, and what it is not.
  • Participants — Government entities as buyers, suppliers as competitors, and what is loaded for each jurisdiction.
  • Files — Upload a tender document, have its text read out, and ask the AI what it actually says.
  • Categories — The UNSPSC classification every Commonwealth notice is published against, from segment to commodity.
  • Programs — Budget programs from the Portfolio Budget Statements, joined to the contracts and grants funded under them.
  • Account — Profile, two-step verification, organisation, seats, plans and billing, API keys, MCP, and where your notifications go.
