The Open tenders summary

Open tenders opens on a summary of whatever the tab, the chips, the search and the filters select. Items beside Summary is the list itself, with how many tenders it holds; the choice stays in the address, so a shared link opens the same view. Switching is instant: the figures above stay as they are, and Back returns to the view you came from.

  • Four figures — how many are open, across how many jurisdictions; how many close in the next seven days and how many today; how many were published in the last seven days and how many today; and how many buyers, with the busiest. No tender notice publishes a value today. Once some do, the third figure becomes their published value, saying how many of how many state one — it is never the size of the market. Click a figure, or its "today" or busiest buyer, to open Items holding exactly those tenders.
  • Charts — by category, the top buyers, and closing per week, this week first. Click a bar to narrow to it. A chart that would repeat the cards below, or a choice you have already made, is left out.
  • Closing first and Newest — four tenders each. Largest stated value joins them once tenders publish a value.
  • Cards — by jurisdiction, then by category once you pick one, then by buyer once you pick a category. Click a card to narrow to it. Once a buyer is picked there are no cards.

The line under the title — All › Commonwealth › … — steps back up a level. The summary counts exactly the tenders the list holds, under the same plan.

BuyICT, closed tenders and grant forecasts

BuyICT. Open tenders also holds the RFQs and RFIs on BuyICT, the Digital Transformation Agency's ICT marketplace — ICT Labour Hire, Professional and Consulting Services and requests for information. Filter → Source narrows the list to AusTender, BuyICT or the states, and BuyICT marketplace to one marketplace. BuyICT publishes no value, and its seller and response figures are its own ranges, not counts. Every BuyICT record carries the line "Source: BuyICT (Digital Transformation Agency), used with written permission".

A BuyICT record page lists possible resulting contracts: AusTender contracts under the same panel, from the same buyer, starting within 120 days of closing, most similar first. Neither source links the two, so treat it as a match to check, not a confirmed result.

Closed tenders. The Closed tab includes AusTender's closed approaches to market back to 2007, newest first. Each opens on the usual record page, marked closed, with the agency's ATM ID.

Grant forecasts. Grants › Open → Forecast lists the grant rounds agencies expect to release, with the program and release period. Upcoming shows planned and overdue (the period has passed with no round yet); Released links to the grant opportunities each became; Withdrawn has left GrantConnect. Nothing on a forecast is open for applications yet.

State tenders and forward plans

Open tenders holds every state that publishes its tenders — New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania — beside AusTender, one chip per jurisdiction. A state tender is one record whose status moves over its life: open, then closed, then awarded, not awarded, withdrawn or expired, as the publisher says. Open is a tender the publisher lists as open whose closing time is still ahead; Closed is every one that is not, whatever happened next, and its card says which. The New South Wales archive says only that a process is "complete" — not whether a contract followed — so we show it as closed and never as awarded.

Coming up holds each state's forward plans the same way: New South Wales's procurement plan, Queensland's pipeline (below), and the advance tender notices Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory publish. Coming up shows current entries. Those five publishers follow a notice to its end, so its record page says whether it went to market, was awarded, was withdrawn by the publisher, or lapsed without going to market.
